What’s coming up on Designated Survivor season 2 episode 19? This episode looks to be one of the biggest ones of the season, and it is going to revolve around many different things — but the biggest one being the investigation that is underway by Ethan West. Michael J. Fox is going to be a big part of the remainder of the season, and this is important since we’ve got a potential administration under siege. This is something that the show is going to give us to hopefully present an intelligent, political struggle to close out the rest of the season. Hopefully there are going to be some surprises and, beyond that, some more conflict that will set the stage for the final episodes.
Below, the Designated Survivor season 2 episode 19 synopsis gives you a tiny tease as to what’s coming:
Attorney Ethan West (Michael J. Fox) calls on President Kirkman’s closest advisors and staff as he begins his investigation.
We do think that this investigation is going to challenge Kirkman and his administration perhaps more than any other story this season, if for no other reason than the fact that this is an intimate, political showdown between highly intelligent people who all claim that they want the best for the country.
Beyond of course the story of the season, there are other questions that remain — especially in terms of whether or not Designated Survivor could be renewed for another season. While the live+same-day ratings remain poor, we do think that there are some possibilities for more out there thanks in part to Kiefer Sutherland and the show’s international appeal. In the end, though, the live ratings matter more than anything else; if they fall further over the course of the rest of this season, there is a pretty good shot that we are looking at a series in some pretty deep trouble.
