STAR season 2 episode 14 preview: Relationship tests; past reveals

STAR cast

Next week STAR season 2 episode 14 is going to air on Fox with new stories, new surprises, and hopefully by the end of the hour a few things that you do not see coming. There are going to be some opportunities to learn about the past and then also the opportunities to learn where characters stand in the present. Being in the music industry is the sort of thing where you learn something new about yourself and the people around you on an almost-daily basis. There is a good bit of flux, and with that, the potential for a good many surprises to come out of almost every second in which the series is on the air.

Below, the STAR season 2 episode 14 synopsis give you a reasonably good sense of some of what you can expect to see:

Maurice brings in an old friend and regional promoter, Natalie (guest star Meagan Good), to help put the artists of Midtown Sound on the map. Competition and jealousy rise among the artists on their first gig as a collective, while Andy (guest star Elijah Kelley) struggles with his dreams versus his parents’ expectations. Alex and Noah finally get Star’s approval, but the relationship is tested by a run-in with groupies. Meanwhile, Cassie (guest star Brandy Norwood) offers Miss Bruce a job and Cotton makes a life-changing discovery about her past in the all-new “After the Set, It’s the Afterparty” episode of STAR airing Wednesday, April 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LDS-214)

This episode hopefully will give you a better understanding as to where things stand with many different relationships within Star’s life — beyond that, there of course does remain a lot of appeal in the guest-star department. In bringing on the likes of Good and Norwood, the series is clearly doing what it can to bring in some names that viewers are familiar with and maybe even nostalgic for thanks to some of their past work.
