Timeless season 2 finale airing as part of two-hour event

When the Timeless season 2 finale airs on NBC next month, you should know that it’s going to be a part of something special: The second hour as a part of a two-hour event celebrating the series further.

According to the network, the final two episodes of the season are airing on Sunday, May 13 and are going to be a part of a two-hour event beginning at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Presumably, these two episodes will serve the purpose of tying up some of the story that we’re seeing at the moment, while also presumably giving some sort of tease on the subject of what could be coming up over the course of a season 3. It’s possible that there will be some sort of small cliffhanger at the end of the finale, but we imagine that the showrunners were intimately aware of the fact that this season would be on the bubble just because the first season was as well.

There isn’t really too much known in terms of finer details about the finale, but what we do know at the moment here is this. The title for the first episode is “The General,” which really could be a reference to a lot of different things given that there are a number of important generals that we have had an opportunity to appreciate throughout history. Meanwhile, the title for the finale is “Chinatown,” which we think of mostly in relation to a really good movie and not so much a reference to this show. These two episodes should serve many different purposes, but hopefully are going to serve very well almost as a two-hour Timeless movie that give you a chance to see all sorts of highs and lows.

The rough news to take here is that we are already at the halfway point of the season. With that, the series only has a short period of time in which to take on some of the remaining stories.
