Ink Master season 10 finale preview: Who should win?

Ink Master season 9 finale video

Next week the Ink Master season 10 finale is going to be airing on the Paramount Network and with that in mind, there are questions aplenty surrounding just who is going to end up winning.

When it comes to the three remaining artists, they are all bringing something interesting to the table.

Josh Payne – When you think just about the consistent quality of his work, it’s pretty darn clear that he is the cream of the crop. He’s a great artist and a technical whiz who has tackled a ton of super-tough tattoos this season. We know that he can do almost anything thrown at him and he’s overcome a lot. He may not be the easiest person to root for at times because of all of the drama, but we do think there’s a groundswell of support. Ink Master fans often do root for the person who is really good and can back up a lot of their boasts. Josh is that dude.

Juan Salgado – From an artistry perspective, Juan is our personal favorite. Also, we like him because he’s totally different from anyone we’ve seen on the show before in terms of his background and his energy. He is very confident in his skills but save for a moment or two, he hasn’t felt too aggressively cocky. He and Anthony Michaels seem to be a match made in Heaven for this show, as they’ve collaborated very well together. With everything that Juan’s home of Puerto Rico has gone through, it would be very cool to see someone like him take home the grand prize.

Roly T-Rex – He’s the greenest of the three finalists and we’re sure that there are some who are going to say that Jason Elliott should have made it to the finale over him. While he’s clearly the underdog just due to having less experience, when Roly is rolling he’s just about at the same level as both Josh and Juan. With the right amount of time and preparation, all he needs to do is beat these guys on the final day of competing. He’s not out of the running completely.

The coaches face off

This isn’t as important to us as the competition between the new artists, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see DJ take it home. He’s an exceptional artist and there’s a great story arc built in for him where he’s lost a lot of the individual challenges. It would probably be very much satisfying for him to win this one and we’re sure he’s aware of that. (Personally, we’re Team Anthony just because we like his style and it feels like he’d be the must fun to hang out with for a day.)
