NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 22: Pride in big trouble
Just the title for this episode is enough to make you worry — “The Assassination of Dwayne Pride.” The only bit of good news that we can offer up in opposition to this is that we’re not talking so much about an actual assassination (at least so we think); instead, it’s more of a character assassination as both his character and his work is going to be put under the microscope. That’s troublesome for most of the other team given that they could be named as a part of what’s going on and beyond that, there could be a reflection that his work and their work are one in the same.
The synopsis below gives you a little bit more of a sense as to precisely what we are talking about here:
“The Assassination of Dwayne Pride” – When journalist Oliver Crane (Mark Gessner) posts a scathing article documenting Pride’s “reckless use of justice,” the team is concerned about the fallout from the piece and the confidential information included in the story. Also, Rita Devereaux (Chelsea Field) warns Pride that someone in D.C. has coordinated this attack on him, and the article is just the beginning, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, May 8(10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Is it possible that Oliver Crane could be the adversary-of-sorts for Pride at the end of the season? That’s an interesting possibility and it could prove to be a very interesting shake-up after the Mayor Hamilton story at the end of season 3. Yet, as a returning Rita suggests this is clearly the beginnings of something so much greater and hopefully something that will be explored in greater depth as the series goes along.
