The Resident episode 11 preview: Helping Nic does not come easy

When The Resident episode 11 comes up on Fox via Monday, April 23, there are many different things that you can expect. At the top of the list, though, is some rather bad news when it comes to Nic. The walls are starting to close in on her in the investigation into Lily’s death, largely because of Lane Hunter’s doing more so than anything that she actually did. She just wanted to help Lily and as a result of that, what she is dealing with has to be even more painful than it would be otherwise.

The good news for Nic is the same as it’s always been in that she does have many people in her corner who believe in her and want to fight for her. Unfortunately, at the same time there may not be all that much that some of these people can do to help her when the deck has been stacked against her to such a degree.

The Resident episode 11 is fittingly titled “And the Nurses Get Screwed” and you can get a little more insight on this subject via the attached synopsis:

When Nic finds herself under investigation in Lily’s death, Conrad comes to her defense, but ends up making the situation worse. During a routine surgery, Bell’s patient accidentally catches fire, leaving the hospital to start an immediate investigation into his medical records. However, hospital CEO Claire Thorpe doesn’t realize what she’s up against when Bell plans a counter attack. Meanwhile, Devon deals with a series of ER patients, including a hypochondriac whom he fears could end up under Lane’s care in the all-new “And The Nurses Get Screwed” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, April 23 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

One of the biggest issues that Lane could run into at this point is that even if she cannot be caught directly for some of her misdeeds, there are some other ways in which the other doctors could make life difficult on her. They could figure out some ways in which to challenge her, take away patients, or figure out a way in which to convince others to not get her treatment. If they cannot hurt her in terms of her medical license, they can find a way in which to damage her bottom line.
