Shadowhunters season 3 episode 5 sneak peek: Jace and Simon’s conversation
In the sneak peek below, you can see what is a super-intense conversation between Jace and Simon as to what’s going on with him. Before that, Jace has a chance to meet Kyle, but let’s just say that this is not the friendliest of meetings, either. There is some very clear tension that is present here and it doesn’t seem like Jace is altogether impressed with where Simon is staying, either.
Jace, like so many other character, is intrigued by what is going on with Simon and his forehead-markings. Yet, Simon at the same time is insisting that some of these markings are now going away and getting better since his arrival in his new place. He seems to have found some sort of solution that is working for him, but is this really the sort of solution that is going to last? That is clearly the question that this preview is trying to make you wonder.

Obviously, the irony here with Jace is that he needs to be even more aware of himself rather than focusing on others — though he may view this as some sort of welcome distraction in the midst of everything that is going on at the moment with the Owl investigation. We cannot imagine that it is easy having this hang over his head all of the time but ultimately, what we are seeing here with Jace is a guy who is really just doing his best in order to make things work as best he can.
