Kim Zolciak leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta — again
Speaking in a new piece over at TMZ, Zolciak (who was a part of the series in the early days only to return for a larger role this go-around) made it clear that has zero interest in ever going back and doing the show again. She doesn’t like the drama, which we get because there’s so much constantly of it. We also get it that there’s little need for her to do this show given that she’s also got the Don’t Be Tardy franchise over on the network.
As a whole, though, one of the things that we’ve absolutely learned over time with The Real Housewives is that while there are some clear positives that go along with doing the franchise, the negatives are also equally present. For every product line you make off of the success of the show you have to deal with constant social-media drama and shade from your fellow cast members who are also looking to boost their own storylines. The entire series is so fluid in so many ways that being a Housewife is so much more competitive than one would initially think.
If we were a part of this franchise, what we would probably try to do with it is just be smart with the money brought in and just use that to invest in some other venues and figure out a further career path. From there, then depart the show, focus on these new opportunities, and then only go back if you really need a shot in the arm insofar as publicity goes.
Do you think that Zolciak is making the right move trying to high-tail it away from this series? Be sure to share right now in the attached comments!
