Jessica Jones season 3 renewal confirmed officially by Netflix
Today, Netflix confirmed via statement (just one month after the season 2 premiere) that the show starring Krysten Ritter as a troubled private eye with superpowers, will be coming back for another run in the future. No further details were given on timing, though that is hardly a surprise given that there are often long hiatuses in between seasons. There are so many other Marvel series to air on Netflix, and that also includes The Defenders, which of course features Jessica Jones alongside Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
In terms of success alone, there was never any doubt regarding the future of Jessica Jones. After all, this remains one of the most-successful Marvel series. For us, one of the larger questions has really been whether or not the Disney streaming service coming up in the future could mean that some of their properties shift away from other broadcasters. That doesn’t seem to be the case here; these shows are all native on Netflix already and clearly, Marvel and Disney don’t want to confuse viewers by shifting them around in their current configuration.
Hopefully, there will be some opportunities to learn more about Jessica Jones season 3 near the end of this year but with all things TV, patience is going to be a virtue. For the time being here, let’s just give a nice hearty congratulations to everyone for all of the time that they spent making this into the success that it is! As of right now, we’d say that Jessica Jones is the most notable of the Marvel – Netflix series.
