Chicago PD season 5 episode 20 preview: Could Olinsky go to jail?

Chicago PD season 5 episode 20

Chicago PD season 5 episode 20 is going to be coming up on NBC next week, and with that comes a very important question: Could Olinsky go to prison? Is it possible that he could really take the fall for Voight? The longer that the story of Bingham’s murder progresses, the more that we are worried about the status of this character. There’s a long and delicate struggle coming up and unfortunately, we don’t think that things are going to be getting altogether easier for him in the near future.

Take a look at the Chicago PD season 5 episode 20 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below for some other news when it comes to what lies ahead:

04/18/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : After Voight (Jason Beghe) witnesses the kidnapping of a young woman with a mysterious connection to his past, Intelligence works to find a connection between her kidnapping and several bank robberies. Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) gets a tip that a grand jury has been summoned, putting Olinsky (Elias Koteas) one step closer to standing trial for Bingham’s murder.

This is where things start to get a little more complicated for Voight: Is he going to take the fall or let Olinsky suffer? This is a major crisis that is going to define precisely how we feel about Voight for the remainder of the season — and in all honesty, our viewpoint towards him was somewhat problematic in the first place. This is, after all, a man who has murdered people including Bingham for the sake of justice. We just wonder as this season goes around if there are going to be some other instances in which past murders are brought up.

As for the other story in this episode, it’s actually interesting that this one also has something when it comes to Voight. Is this going to be connected to the case of Bingham? Even if it’s not, this could be a distraction that keeps Voight’s eye off the Bingham case for a little while. That could prove rather troublesome in its own right.
