Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 19 preview: Cabot returns

Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 19 is entitled “Sunk Cost Fallacy” and it almost needs no introduction at all. After all, Cabot is coming back into the fold! For the first time in a while Stephanie March is heading back to the series; it seems as though she is going to be involved in the story in some way, but it is not clear as to how that will be just yet. Our hope is simply this: An opportunity to see her working alongside Benson given that their friendship was one of the best parts of March’s run on the show. It’s a nice human element to go along with much of the crazy drama that we have a chance to witness over time on SVU.

04/18/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : The search for an abducted woman and her young daughter leads Lt. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) to cross paths with an old friend (guest star Stephanie March). Meanwhile, Stone (Philip Winchester) must make a tough decision on behalf of his sister. Also starring Kelli Giddish and Peter Scanavino. Also guest starring Amy Korb, Scott Porter, Sarah Wilson and Richard Kind. TV-14 D, L

There are a few interesting aspects when it comes to this case, especially when with the guest cast — joining March are two of our other favorite TV actors in Hart of Dixie alum Porter and then Spin City alum Kind, who recently experienced a lot of praise for his voice-over work in Inside Out. Great guest casts often lead into really great stories as a whole, so fingers crossed that this episode really lives up to some of the hype built in our head.

This episode also really carries us into what we consider to be the home stretch — the final four episodes of the season. While SVU never does anything too serialized, we do hope that these episodes do build towards something big coming up in the finale. (By the way, can we please get a season 20 renewal?)
