Black Lightning episode 13 (finale) spoilers: Making the revival worthwhile

Black Lightning

Black Lightning episode 13 is obviously an important installment of the show — it’s the finale! Everything has been building towards this and signs point to one of the biggest, most-dramatic showdowns yet. It ultimately has to be given just how we got to this point in the first place.

Who expected the title character to die, only to be brought back to life in the penultimate episode? This was certainly the last thing we expected to see but that is, in a way, exciting. It really sets into motion what will be coming over the finale, a time in which there should be some exciting answers and also hopefully some teasers as to what the second season is going to be looking like.

The Black Lightning episode 13 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up its own information as to what’s coming … not that we really think that it is offering up that much in the way of big spoilers:

THE SHOWDOWN – The aftermath of the showdown with Black Lightning (Cress Williams) leaves everyone reeling. Meanwhile, Tobias (Marvin Jones III) gathers his forces. Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Christine Adams and Damon Gupton also star. The episode was written by Charles D. Holland and directed by Salim Akil (#113). Original airdate 4/17/2018.

We don’t think that it really takes all that much to adequately describe what we want to see in this episode: A showdown like no other with Black Lightning in one corner and Tobias Whale planted firmly in the other. We have a feeling that Black Lightning probably won’t die again, if for no other reason than that it’s hard to imagine the show without him. We’ve gotten pretty used to having Tobias around, as well, for better or for worse. Yet, it is tradition for most villains in the Arrowverse to go away after being around for a year.
