Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 19 preview: ‘Leo Getz Hitched’

Who is ready for a wedding? Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 19 carries with it the title of “Leo Getz Hitched” and with that, you are going to see craziness — PLENTY of craziness. We’re not sure that there has ever been an episode quite like this on the series, mostly because you’ve got Leo Getz getting himself involved in a surprise wedding ceremony. Yet, on the other side of this there are going to be some other surprise complications that end up making this story even more interesting.

When Riggs and Murtaugh attend Leo Getz’s (guest star Thomas Lennon) surprise wedding, they end up investigating a missing person. Then, Riggs comes face to face with someone from his past and Murtaugh receives news that might change his life forever in the all-new “Leo Getz Hitched” episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, April 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

While there are probably going to be some emotional moments within this episode (especially when it comes to Murtaugh and some of the news that he receives), we do think that this is an hour that will be best remembered for its sense of fun. How can it not be? It’s hard to imagine doing anything other than smiling watching an hour of TV that focuses in part on Leo and this is the perfect venue for Thomas Lennon to shine. We also figure that by the end of this episode, there are also going to be opportunities to lead some sort of rant about us wanting an opportunity to see a little bit more of this character moving into the future, but we will hold off on that for now.

On a more serious note, there are just four more episodes to go this season! Eventually some of the fun is going to give way to seeing some more dramatic stories and exciting cliffhangers. One way or another, we have to imagine that Lethal Weapon season 2 is going to end with a bang … even if it’s not clear as to whether or not the series is going to be renewed for a season 3.
