The Terror episode 5 preview: Freezing, dying, and questioning a captain
Below, The Terror episode 5 synopsis gives you a pretty good sense as to precisely what is going to be coming up next:
Plunged into the constant howling darkness of winter, with temperatures falling past fifty below, a strange illness begins to preoccupy the expedition’s doctors while another, more familiar one jeopardizes the expedition’s most valuable resource–its captain’s judgment.
Is it much of a surprise that some of the crew would start to turn on Crozier in particular? Not exactly, largely because of how he chose to punish Cornelius with all of the lashes on tonight’s episode — largely signaling that he was protecting the new arrival in the form of the Inuit woman over anyone else on the ship.

One other thing that is important to note about this episode is that we’re getting close to the halfway point of this season. While the story of The Terror has moved along at a reasonably-slow pace so far, we know that the writers are building towards something pretty dramatic and incredible: More attacks, more drama, and potentially some situations where most of these crew members fail to make it out of here alive.
Is The Terror the most addictive limited series of the year? It’s certainly near the top of the list; above all else, what we know is that this is a series that is absolutely worthy of some of your time.
