Lucifer season 3 filming starts to wrap up for more of the cast

While there may not be a new episode of Lucifer season 3 airing on Fox Monday night, CarterMatt is here to bring you some other news — work on the show’s set is starting to wrap up for even more of the cast!

In a new post on Twitter, D.B. Woodside confirmed that today is the final day of filming for his character of Amenadiel. This is a man who has underwent quite a dramatic journey since the start of the season and for a wide array of different reasons. We’ve seen more of his humanity, experienced many a funny moment in his relationship with Lucifer, and had him start to understand more of his role and his purpose. There was also great fun to be had with his relationship with Linda, even if things became a little bit messy once Maze understood what was going on.

The final episodes of Lucifer (at least for this season) are going to air on Fox next month. There is unfortunately no word as of yet as to whether or not the series will be renewed for a season 4, but we remain hopeful. This is a show with a devoted following, a really great story and we like to think that this, coupled with some of the fan campaigns out there in order to keep the series around for another season, end up helping to bring it back for another go around.

When Lucifer season 3 does return to the air next week, one of the biggest things that we want to see is some sort of buildup on a number of key stories. For Amenadiel, that includes getting a little more insight into the relationship between him and Charlotte. That was recently formed on the series and while we’re in the home stretch of things for season 3, there’s still enough time to explore this a little bit more.
