The 100 season 5 episode 1 spoilers: More news on premiere ‘Eden’
That title is obviously very Biblical, and it’s also hinting at what is a completely new world for some of these characters to inhabit. You’re going to see Clarke in what is her own unique sort of “garden” — one that is devastated and without too much when it comes to vegetation. Yet, she’s finding a way to make things work, however hard it may be. She hasn’t spoken to any of her old friends for a long time, but there’s a good chance that over the course of this episode, we could see the beginnings of a change. There may not be a reunion just yet, but we’re going to see the foundation laid for whatever is going to be coming up next.
The 100 season 5 episode 1 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below has some more news as to what’s coming up:
HOPE — In the fifth season premiere, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) struggles to survive on a desolate, scorched earth while her friends in space come across a long-awaited beacon of hope. Bob Morley, Paige Turco, Henry Ian Cusick, Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Chris Larkin and Tasya Teles also star. Dean White directed the episode written by Jason Rothenberg (#501). Original airdate 4/24/2018.

Even though there is a relatively short episode order for The 100 season 5, we still expect Rothenberg and the rest of the writers to take things at a steady pace. If you are to reunite Clarke with Bellamy and everyone else in space right away, the separation and the time jump don’t make the same impact that they otherwise would. We’d save this moment for at least a couple of episodes in so that the dramatic impact comes at you more in a wave.
All in all, though, if you love The 100 and have for a rather-long time, we imagine that this is the sort of episode that is going to make you more than a little excited to dive into this world again.
