Instinct episode 5 return date: What’s next for Alan Cumming, cast?
What’s the reason for that? It’s really in part due to the Academy of Country Music Awards, which airs on CBS April 15. This is an awards show that always tends to pop up at around this time, so we cannot exactly say that it’s much of a surprise that this is happening. It is somewhat frustrating only from a vantage point that it interrupts a brand new show right in the middle of its momentum. That seems to be happening here, and Instinct is definitely still in a place where it’s figuring out its identity. It also needs to generate even more good headlines about itself after being mired in some Bones controversy over a storyline featured in episode 3. As frustrating as the similarities between the Instinct and the Bones story were, this is still a really fun show that brings a lot to the table. We’re excited to see a little more of what’s coming up next.
Instinct episode 5 carries with it the title of “Heartless” and the attached synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below gives you a little more information as to what is coming up:
“Heartless” – Dylan and Lizzie investigate the murder of a Jane Doe, but when they realize that the victim was killed by mistake, they must identify the killer’s motive and intended target before she suffers the same fate, on INSTINCT, Sunday, April 22 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
What is fascinating about this case is simply that it’s different from any other that we’ve seen. After all, here’s a murder that was committed by mistake and with that, Dylan and Lizzie have to move quicker than ever. You know that if they don’t these two will feel incredibly guilty about it after the fact. They take the responsibility of their job seriously and they consider themselves to be one of the best partnerships out there.
Let’s hope that the hiatus leading up to Instinct episode 5 also doesn’t end up causing a drop in the ratings — this is a show already on the renewal bubble and it is coming off of its lowest ratings as it is. That’s the big danger with the week off; it confuses viewers who could develop a different viewing habit in the interim.
