Madam Secretary season 4 episode 17 video: The Iran deal crisis

Madam Secretary season 4 episode 17 is going to be coming to CBS on Sunday night and based on the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below, “Phase Two” looks to be one of the more important episodes of the entire season.

The sneak peek really is the foundation for everything that is coming up and some of the political ramifications of Elizabeth and Dalton’s moves. They are trying to figure out exactly what they want to do not only with Iran, but also some of their business with Saudi Arabia. There is discussion when it comes to kicking the issue to the curb until after the midterm elections — that is something that Russell is in favor of doing. However, Elizabeth feels the opposite, thinking that if they wait too long, there’s a good chance that Iran will walk away and continue to give money towards America’s enemies.

Obviously, this is one of those situations where the team only has one chance to make the right move; if they screw it up, the consequences could be far-reaching and the country may never be the same. Basically, what we’re trying to say here is a modified form of “no pressure.” The problem that Elizabeth really faces is that she not only has to be clear with her own platform, but she also has to convince others to go along with it. The Iran deal is already the subject of cable-news debates and everyone has their opinion of what to do to handle the country’s weapons trade. If you make the media rounds to talk about it, there are going to be countless people waiting in the wings, desperate to try and find a way in which to pick it apart piece by piece.
