SWAT episode 17 preview: ‘Armory,’ a captive, and a … dating profile?

SWAT premiere

SWAT episode 17 is going to be bringing a lot of different stories to the table, but one of the most-interesting things at present is simply this: Combining action, drama, and plenty of other great stuff to keep your hair standing on end. Also, humor. One of the things that many shows on CBS do a great job of at the moment is finding some unique ways in which they can make you laugh even though there is some pretty series stories being told, and it seems as though during this episode, some of that is going to come in the form of a dating profile. After all, everyone needs a little bit of help in the romance department sometimes, right? (Well maybe not if you’re Shemar Moore, but that’s a different story). This is why Chris is going to take it upon himself to allow Street to make him a dating profile. This should be a really fun story to check out and we’re absolutely excited to see how that’s balanced with some of the serious stuff that is happening elsewhere in the episode, especially with Hondo.

The SWAT episode 17 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below gives you a little bit more information regarding just what is coming up over the course of this hour:

As Hondo and SWAT work to de-escalate a hostage situation in which an ex-convict is holding a local family captive, the mission takes a dangerous turn that impacts the team. Also, when Street tires of his complicated romantic entanglements, he agrees to let Chris make over his online dating profile.

What is funny is reading the end of that synopsis only to then see the promo below, which is every bit as intense as any that we’ve seen for the show to date. You’ve got action, Shemar Moore training, and pretty much everything else you love about the show. It’s hardly the most revealing promo in the world, but we are nonetheless still happy to have it.
