Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 13 preview: ‘The Honeymoon’

Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 17 carries with it the title of “The Honeymoon” and despite whatever that name may suggest, we’re actually not gearing up at all for an altogether romantic episode of the show. Maybe there will be some romantic moments here and there (we like to assume that given that we have two newlyweds in Fitz and Simmons at the center of the episode), but above all else this story is going to be about trying to help those in need while also figuring out a way in which to stop something (or someone) who could cause even more damage.

Want some more evidence as to who the biggest threat out there is? We really don’t think that you have to look any further than the person in the above image. This story is about to get more dangerous than it’s ever been, which shouldn’t surprise anyone given where we are in the season and also everything could be ratcheted up moving forward to the season (and possible) series finale. Remember that at the moment, there is no confirmation as to whether or not the show has been renewed for another go-around.

What are some of the latest ratings?

While you await to learn whether or not Agents of SHIELD is coming back for a season 6, there is some concerning news to report: This past episode generated just under 1.9 million viewers and also a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This marks some of the lowest ratings for the series since December — while it may be a cause for concern, one week’s ratings do not make a cancellation. Remember that the series does still have a large international following and, to go along with it, performs very well in DVR ratings to go along with it.

Hopefully, ABC is going to make it clear at some point by the middle of May as to whether or not there is going to be more Agents of SHIELD coming up.
