Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 17 is officially coming to ABC in one week’s time, and save for the episode title in “Chosen,” there is not too much officially released.
Yet, sometimes just one word can mean a lot — and we certainly feel like it does with this show more so than many others. If there is ever a series that likes to play around with the idea of destiny, it’s this one. Over the course of the series to date we’ve heard proclamations about Saviors, characters doing whatever they can to fulfill prophecies, and at times also various people trying to run from whatever it is that they are afraid of. This could be a story about largely the same thing … though the act of being “Chosen” in itself can bring with it very good or bad ramifications depending on the situation.
One thing does feel close to certain — being “chosen” is going to mean the beginnings of a story that could last for a little while.
We’re getting close to the series finale and with that in mind, there are a number of different things that CarterMatt is hopeful about getting a chance to see. Take, for example, an opportunity to build towards a return to Storybrooke once more. That’s something that is certainly happening over the final two episodes of the season but there’s not too much that is known about it just yet. As we approach that point, the only hope that we have is that Once Upon a Time starts to make a little more of a commercial splash once more. The ratings have not been great and even though there is no hope of a renewal, it’s never fun to see a show go out with a whimper. It’s always better if it closes things out with a roar.
