Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 22 sends Jerry undercover

For those of you who have been wanting a big Jorge Garcia episode of Hawaii Five-0, season 8 episode 22 will not disappoint! This is an hour of television that is going to give him one of his meatiest stories yet, as he’s going to be placed undercover in order to get information crucial to solving a murder. It’s a chance to test him, and really start to understand how much he has learned since he first joined the team in a little bit more of an official capacity.

“Kōpī wale nō i ka i’a a ‘eu nō ka ilo.” – Five-0 must help Duke after he is forced to steal crucial evidence from the police locker in exchange for his kidnapped granddaughter. Also, Jerry goes undercover at a mental health facility in order to solve a murder, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, April 27 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The photo above is from the Duke story, which could help to pay off further the promotion of Dennis Chun over this past summer to series regular. We wondered what this was going to mean in terms of his story and this episode seems be paying some of that off. We do wonder moving into season 9 if getting a big episode or two for him, Kamekona, and Noelani Cunha is going to be a tradition that holds firm.

The thing that makes this particular storyline fascinating is that it offers up a chance to see the Five-0 team operate in an area that is at least somewhat morally gray. Yet, it’s also one that is understandable for them to be in. If there was a family member in danger for anyone who is a major part of the show, we know that everyone would step in to help like they have in the past. That’s just a key part of the fabric for these characters — they care about each other and they’ve all been through the fire with one another.

While episode 22 would typically be the end for most other series on broadcast TV, remember that Hawaii Five-0 season 8 actually has 25 episodes! There are three more episodes to come on the other side of this one, so there is a lot left to enjoy.
