Gotham season 4 episode 18 preview: The monsters run wild
Below, the Gotham season 4 episode 18 synopsis offers up some more insight when it comes to what lies ahead:
The Arkham inmates are still running freely in Gotham and they’re only getting more difficult to catch. Gordon develops a plan, but reluctantly has to turn to Bruce for help. Meanwhile, Barbara finds out just how far her new friends are willing to go for her in the all-new “A Dark Knight: That’s Entertainment” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, April 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
In general the rest of the season, Gotham is going to be bringing you a number of stories that could serve to better accelerate one big thing that every comic-book fan wants to see: The birth of Batman. Maybe the series won’t ever get to the point where Bruce Wayne is what he is in the comics, but we’ve got a feeling that the writers are going to continue to do whatever they can to push him in that direction. The Bruce at the end of the season could be at least reasonably close to the Batman we know — that’s at least what David Mazouz said about the subject to CarterMatt at the start of the season.
Now thing that you should know is this: We’re really not too far now from the end of the season. There are only four more episodes to go after this one, and that likely means that the momentum is about to push forward in a way that’s certainly out of control. Filming is already done for season 4 with the cast and now, they are all off somewhere in a holding pattern waiting to see if they’re coming back for more. While we remain hopeful, at the same time we don’t want to be overly optimistic. If Fox doesn’t renew the show it certainly would not be the most surprising thing that they have done in their history.
