The Originals season 5 spoilers: Candice King offers up small Klaus – Caroline tease
The premiere of The Originals season 5 is coming in just two weeks on April 18; with that, we know that there are many reasons for excitement. One of the biggest ones is simply the relationship between Klaus and Caroline. For the better part of the past several years, there have been demands aplenty in order to get these two together. Now, it looks as though it finally could be a possibility! While Candice King won’t be in every episode, she is going to make a number of different appearances. She’s one of the only people Klaus will listen to outside of his own family, and beyond that it’s been fairly clear that he’s wanted to be with her for some time. This could be the season where every piece of the puzzle starts to come together.
Given that this is the final season, getting too much in the way of in-depth information is somewhat challenging. Yet, King did recently tell NKD Magazine that the upcoming episodes are poised to “[give] life to a relationship that the fans wanted for so long.” You can choose to read that more or less any way that you want. Personally, for us we’re choosing to look at this as pretty darn clear evidence that there is a reason to think that they could be getting together.
So what are some of the challenges that the two parties face? There are several, with the principal one being mostly that Klaus isn’t exactly someone you can build a stable life around since there are always people out to hurt him and his family. He’s got a lot of history with supernatural beings all over the world and the majority of it isn’t good. While he does have the capacity to love, he also has the capacity to inflict great pain. If you are someone in Caroline’s position what you really have to do is be prepared for either scenario and hope for the former.
The first promo for The Originals season 5 is already out there (view here), but unfortunately, there’s not too much in the way of Klaroline footage. That does make sense given that the producers know what they’ve got here in a buzz-worthy storyline. Why would they want to give away the goods too early?
