Shadowhunters season 3 episode 4 preview: Simon’s search for a home
At the end of tonight’s episode, it was revealed that the character is in actuality the Owl, and with that he’s at the center of much of Lilith’s bidding. Clary may have brought him back from the dead, but it feels pretty clear at this point that this is not even remotely the same iteration of Jace that we have seen in the past. He has a secret side that he is not aware of as of yet; if there is anyone who can save him at the moment it appears to be Luke. He is good at investigating and he may be able to help him figure out what is going on:

Even though it may not be the flashiest storyline under the sun we are actually rather excited about what’s coming up for Simon in the aftermath of losing his home. This basically happened through no fault of his own and that’s difficult. He hasn’t really been able to understand what is happening and it is going to take a few long, hard conversations with the Seelie Queen first. The best thing that comes out of this story for us as a viewer? The opportunity to see some more conversations take place between Simon and some characters he doesn’t always interact with.
As for Clary and Izzy, who doesn’t want to see the two of them team up? While this may not be the most revealing tease in the world this is at least a chance for the two of them to spend more time together than they have so far this season.
By the end of this episode we’re going to be near the end of the halfway point of the season; with that, we are certainly expecting to see some of the tension build.
