Timeless season 2 episode 4 video: Benjamin Franklin’s mother takes center stage
In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, you can see a couple of different reasons why this upcoming episode (entitled “The Salem Witch Hunt”) is more important than virtually any other installment of the series to come before it.
1. Benjamin Franklin’s mother is in danger – It goes without saying here that without Franklin’s mother, there would be no Franklin. She finds herself accused of being a witch and it could be curtains for her before her son can start to change America as we know it.
2. Who is accusing Lucy of being a witch? – Susanna Thompson is back in this episode! We’ve learned already that Carol doesn’t exactly have it in her to kill her daughter; yet, she seemingly has no problem at all throwing her to the wolves with someone else. Accusing Lucy of being a witch can allow her to make Nicholas Keynes happy without having to worry about doing anything to kill her daughter directly.
Beyond this, there are a couple of other interesting things to expect within this episode with Garcia Flynn actually traveling with the Time Team as opposed to working independently. He is essential at the moment when it comes to figuring out a way to stop Rittenhouse; yet, at the same time can he really be trusted?

Given that Timeless season 2 is a pretty short season, every week matters so much more than it would otherwise. As you check out this episode, you should see a significant amount of movement forward in the story. One very important part of this story that is not referenced here at all is the sudden reappearance of Wyatt’s wife, who has managed to come back by complete accident thanks to her husband’s efforts to save history. Sometimes in doing that, you do end up changing it in some shape or form.
