Billions season 3 ratings start strong; watch premiere online

Billions season 3

There are a couple of different Billions season 3 stories that you are probably going to want to know if you love this show, starting of course with the ratings.

If you’re Showtime, you have plenty of reasons to be happy at the moment based on some of the premiere numbers. This past episode generated in total almost 930,000 live+same-day viewers, which is up over 5% from the season 2 average and more than 20% up from the season 2 premiere. That shows that the positive momentum established from the second season really did carry over successfully into the third. Remember back when Billions first premiered and there were people out there believing that it was going to be the best series on TV? It felt like it took a little while to get there, but we’re at that point where it’s really living up to the hype. We certainly think that Billions can continue this run, especially with events like college basketball and other distractions dying down.

With all of that said, we do anticipate there being a small drop moving into episode 2. This episode is airing on Easter Sunday and by and large, the tendency is to expect small declines for many shows as people choose to embrace and celebrate the holiday.

Granted, also know that this is Showtime and while the YouTube versions of their shows are often edited, they still have strong language that is certainly not for everyone.

If you aren’t subscribed to Showtime yet, maybe watching this premiere will be enough to convince you in order to make the jump.
