Outlander season 4 and the calm before the storm
CarterMatt has been a little bit lighter lately when it comes to Outlander updates this week and with pretty good reason: In comparison to some other periods from the past, things have been relatively quiet! There hasn’t been any casting news in some time, just as there also hasn’t been all that much in the way of public sightings.
What’s going on here? Well, much of it seems to have to do with having a focus on work as of late, coupled with Outlander also doing some interior work. There are indications out there that the series may be heading out on location more come April, but things often tend to fluctuate when it comes to filming for this show. There will be a block of time when the cast and crew are shielded from the public eye, and then there will also be a time in which you see a good bit of them.
Just know this: Work is certainly continuing to be done on the show as the cast and crew enters the home stretch over the next few months. This is probably the busiest part of production of the year because they have a lot to get through in a short period of time, and at this point they’re getting close to a lot of people running on fumes. Outlander may be rewarding work, but we also imagine that it’s incredibly difficult work thanks to the long hours and, in some cases, actors being far away from their home base. It’s a nomadic job in some ways, but luckily this group is like a family and that has to ease some of the home sickness.
Hopefully, we do get some teases on a few things coming up — the Jamie – Brianna meeting is at the top of our personal wishlist, but we imagine that this is probably going to be the scene that Starz is protective over more so than almost any other.

If you missed it, we posted a video last night about Menzies’ casting and how this in turn could lead towards other actors wanting to join Outlander to reap the benefits in the long run. If you enjoy this video below then be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel!
