Scandal season 7 episode 16 preview: ‘People Like Me’ speculation
Scandal season 7 episode 16 is airing on ABC in one week’s time but unfortunately, there isn’t too much information out there about this hour … not that this should really surprise anyone. This is more or less the series’ M.O. to keep things under wraps — save, of course, for episode titles. So let’s dig into that and see what we can come up with.
What CarterMatt knows at the moment is that the title for this episode is “People Like Me,” which suggests that there’s going to be a big search for common ground at the heart of the story. A search for common ground is the sort of thing that Olivia, Mellie, and others have long sought — if they are hoping that they are going to get it here though, we imagine that there’s not going to be a whole lot of solace.
One other thing that is known at the moment is that cast member Joe Morton is directing, which is following a tradition of a few other cast members taking the helm for installments in the final season and the series as a whole. We’ve already seen such people as Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, and Darby Stanchfield take the helm already. This is a chance to further give the cast a little bit more input on the creative for the final season, and also potentially open some doors for some other opportunities in their futures.
Based on the promo below, there is one key question that you should be wondering: Is someone actually going to kill Cyrus? For now, that’s the biggest tease we have.
