Chicago Fire season 6 episode 17 preview: Can Stella win over Severide’s mom?

What’s coming up on Chicago Fire season 6 episode 17? There are a few different things, but one of the more intriguing ideas will be getting a chance to really dive into the relationship that exists between Severide and his mother. CarterMatt has covered the Severide – Stella relationship closely this season through all of the different highs and lows and there have been plenty of them. Now, they do seem to be a blossoming couple and making a good impression on the parents is something that always is a top priority.

Unfortunately, impressions are such that you often start off on the wrong foot and then really struggle to change around someone’s perception. We’ll see if Stella can figure out a way to do just that.

04/05/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : Boden has a lapse in judgment in the aftermath of rescuing a young boy. Kidd struggles to win the approval of Severide’s mom (guest star Kim Delaney) after a surprise visit and Otis takes on new responsibilities at the firehouse.

Out of everything that is teased within this synopsis, the other thing that has us the most excited is simply seeing how Otis is adapting. We do hope that there are going to be some opportunities to see him struggle but also improve. For Yuri Sardarov, we’re more than excited that he gets this story. While we do love this character as the fun comic relief and a source of firehouse fun, it is important to remember that these characters are meant to be real people. With that, they bleed and go through the same hardships as anyone else.
