Scorpion season 4 episode 20 video: Get ready for softball

Scorpion season 4 episode 20 is going to be airing on Monday night and judging from the sneak peek below, signs point to this being a very good hour of television. If nothing else, it could be one of the funniest. This episode looks on paper to be a little bit of what happens when you combine this show with something like The Bad News Bears. This is the ultimate underdog story and it’s pretty clear at this point that Team Scorpion are the underdogs.

In the sneak peek below, you really get a good sense of just how much the deck is stacked against the team — and also precisely how hard it is going to be for any of them to actually succeed in this game for a wide array of different reasons. For starters, none of these people know how to play softball all that well — maybe Paige has done that at some point during her life, but that is probably about it. Beyond, their team looks utterly ridiculous — it contains a man afraid of the words “play ball,” children, and a wizard. They are also wearing prison uniforms and have no equipment, while also playing a Homeland Security team that is decked out and ready to win.

Is it fair for us to have many more questions about this episode right now? We like to think so. For example, just why softball and why now? What’s the final endgame of this game really going to be? As ridiculous as this is, we do actually like this mostly because it’s a chance to do something that is totally different from anything we’ve seen on Scorpion as of late. It is beneficial every now and then to balance out the explosions and action sequences with things that are a little smaller but interesting in their own right.
