TV Madness 2018: Poldark, Timeless close out round 3
Above, you can see our full bracket, complete with entries, their seeds, and start/end dates. Once you are within the bracket, the dates listed are when the previous poll ends and the next one begins! We’ve got a great group of shows taking part this year, with some newbies as well as others who have been a part of the tournament every single year. The voting rules are pretty simple — you can vote however often you would like on however many devices that you would like! If you are on mobile and you are having a problem seeing the poll at the bottom of the article for whatever reason, be sure to click to view the non-AMP version of the page at the bottom of the article.
For this edition of TV Madness, we are closing out our own version of the elite eight with two shows are certainly rather different from one another in Timeless and Poldark. In the case of one, you’ve got a time-traveling epic that is some of the best science fiction you’ve got on TV right now. Meanwhile, with Poldark you’ve got a fantastic and romantic period piece stuffed with drama and great characters. The irony here is that in theory, you could create an episode of Timeless where the time team all went back in time and met Ross and Demelza Poldark … not that we think this is going to happen or anything.
Now that we’ve set the stage, let’s get to breaking down these entries further. Voting for this round remains open until Monday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Poldark (#1 seed) – Over the past two rounds we’ve had an opportunity to see the BBC series featuring Aidan Turner take out both Z Nation and then Chicago PD, proving itself once more worthy of continuing its run towards the final four. If the series can make it there, it is going to mark the second straight year in which we’ve had a chance to see Poldark make it this far into the tournament. That would certainly be a nice feather in the series’ camp as it starts to move towards a season 4 premiere a little bit later this year.
Timeless (#2 seed) – Meanwhile, we’ve also got another series here with a devoted following, and one that’s certainly had a challenging road to even get to this point. Timeless endured a difficult round 1 showdown against Good Behavior only to then take on play-in winner Scorpion in another tightly-contested bout. Sometimes, we don’t know how certain shows are going to perform entering the tournament. Yet, we can say this with confidence: Timeless has endured more than any other show remaining when it comes to making it to this point.
