Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 19 spoilers: Matthew Taylor returns

Grey's Anatomy season 14 episode 19

Just in case you did want some more evidence that Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 19 is going to be intense, we’ve absolutely got some of that for you right now! We just wish we could say that it was good news for many of your favorite characters…

Instead, it does unfortunately look as though over the course of this episode we’re going to be seeing devastation take place for a number of different characters, whether it be Alex (who is struggling with the possible death of a patient) or April, who will have to come to grips with the return of Matthew Taylor, her former fiancé whose story was at the center of “Personal Jesus” earlier this year.

Take a look, per SpoilerTV, at the first Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 19 synopsis below:

An agent from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement searches the hospital for an employee; Alex’s patient wants to leave the hospital to enjoy her final days, but Alex feels differently; Arizona treats Matthew Taylor’s baby.

There’s the potential for a lot of pain here, especially with April — by the time this episode airs it is possible that Sarah Drew’s character is starting to get better in the midst of her crisis of faith, and everything that happens here could serve as a means of kicking her back down to square one.

As for the immigration-based story, this is clearly ABC leaning into something when it comes to current events. This should prove to be both topical and also interesting; suffice it to say, we’re more than intrigued to see how this story plays out and just who it could be a reference to. Is the character being searched for someone we know a lot about? We’d be surprised if this is a character that has been around a long time since we probably would’ve heard more about them by now.
