Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 17: Can a rabbi help to heal April?

Grey's Anatomy season 14 episode 17

There is not necessarily too much known in advance of Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 17 airing on USA but one thing feels clear: At the center of this installment seems to be April’s continued crisis of faith. She has struggled for a long time this season to find comfort and to date, she has not exactly found anyone who feels as though they are a worthy source of comfort or support. Instead, she’s just run into

Below, the Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 17 synopsis has some additional news as to what’s coming up:

April’s crisis of faith is challenged by a patient she treats who is a rabbi, and Meredith treats a patient who is a transplant surgeon from another hospital.

Will this episode prove to be one of the most dramatic of the season? Maybe. If nothing else, we are certainly curious as to whether or not this could be an episode that actually offers up some chances for her to start to put things into perspective. With Sarah Drew leaving the show at the end of this season, we do think that there is a little bit more of a sense of urgency with this story that we’re not entirely sure that we would have otherwise.

By the end of this episode that biggest thing we want is momentum — we don’t anticipate that every single loose end when it comes to the story of April is going to be wrapped up; we just want things instead to start moving in that direction. As for the Meredith storyline, it’s just another thing to add to her plate as she tries to figure out a right way to move forward within the confines of the surgery contest.
