Is The Originals season 5 trailer coming in the near future?
In a new post on Twitter, executive producer Jeffrey Lieber noted that come “early Monday Morning,” there is a good chance that you could see the trailer for the final season. It’s going to hopefully give you a great sense of everything that is coming up as this particular First Family of Vampires starts to close the door on what has been a very integral part of the Vampire Diaries franchise at large. This should give us a good sense as to what the future is going to look like for Klaus; beyond that, it should also show us where Hope is in the aftermath of the time jump. Given that there is a potential spin-off in the works revolving around that character, finding a way to make her storyline appealing right away is more or less a given.
It is going to be rather emotional in the end to see The Originals go; in the event that the other spin-off is not ordered to series, this is going to mark a really significant changing of the guard over at The CW where, by and large, we have seen over the course of almost ten years vampire-related shows on The CW. There was a time in which these completely dominated the airwaves, but that time now ultimately seems to be over. We just hope moving forward now that there are going to be some chances to reflect and think back to both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals alike within this final season. We’re excited to see it air, even if at the same time we are somewhat sad to see it go. These past couple of years especially have been some of the best for The Originals and this entire franchise as a whole.
