Alexa & Katie season 2 renewal: Will it happen at Netflix?

Is there going to be an Alexa & Katie season 2 renewal over at Netflix? We know that this is something that we would certainly like to see. With that being said, nothing is altogether official as of right now.

When you just think about it on a superficial level, Alexa & Katie is a show that does have risk written metaphorically on it. This show is not an established franchise, and nor is it a show with a ton of big names. It’s a comedy/drama hybrid that is reminiscent of some other Netflix shows and with cancer at the center of the story, you have to know that there are going to be some viewers who shy away. Those who do watch, though, may find an element of hope and perseverance, especially since one of the characters at the center of this story is young.

We do hope that viewers out there check out this story and get invested in it; with that being said, we don’t necessarily think that Netflix is going to be in all that much of a hurry to renew things for an additional season. That’s really not something that Netflix does for a lot of their shows unless they are super big-budget and they want to make a huge commitment to in order to ensure that it sticks around. Some shows do actually need to be renewed long in advance in order for them to be produced properly.

Once there is some more news regarding a potential Alexa & Katie season 2, we’ll at least you know. For now, we would say that the renewal timeline for the series is anywhere between a few weeks and a couple of months. It all depends on the immediate numbers compared to some of the ones Netflix draws long-term.
