Criminal Minds season 13 episode 18 preview: Meet Rossi’s ex-wife Krystall Richards

Criminal Minds season 13 episode 18

Given that Criminal Minds season 13 episode 18 carries with it the title of “The Dance of Love,” isn’t it appropriate on some level that we get a chance to see some of Rossi’s romantic past? Enter his ex-wife Krystall Richards.

Over the course of this episode (which is also directed by cast member Joe Mantegna) you are going to have an opportunity in which to see Gail O’Grady stop by as this character. We’ve met some of Rossi’s former flames before and with that, we should get an opportunity through this to understand a little bit more as to what this relationship was like and also what can be done with it now. There is also another interesting discussion to be had here: Why in the world is this character stopping by now? Is there a specific reasoning for it? It doesn’t quite seem like someone from this far back in Rossi’s past is going to be paying a return visit without there being some sort of explicit motivation for it.

Below, the Criminal Minds season 13 episode 18 synopsis also offers up some more insight when it comes to the story that is coming up:

“The Dance of Love” – The BAU travels to Chicago to investigate an unsub who leaves red roses on each victim. Also, Rossi gets an unexpected visit from his ex-wife, Krystall Richards (Gail O’Grady), on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Through this episode we hope to understand Rossi better, but we also get the sense that this will be one of the creepier cases of the season. Maybe it won’t be as creepy as the one with clowns like we’re seeing tonight, but still a red rose signifies that this UnSub feels some sort of romantic attachment towards their victims in some shape or form.
