TV Madness 2018: Scorpion, Timeless close out round 2!
Welcome to another edition of our third annual TV Madness Tournament! This is a fun annual tradition here at CarterMatt where we have some fun, engaging battles between various shows looking to make it all the way to the final round on March 28.
Above, you can see our full bracket, complete with entries, their seeds, and start/end dates. Once you are within the bracket, the dates listed are when the previous poll ends and the next one begins! We’ve got a great group of shows taking part this year, with some newbies as well as others who have been a part of the tournament every single year. The voting rules are pretty simple — you can vote however often you would like on however many devices that you would like! If you are on mobile and you are having a problem seeing the poll at the bottom of the article for whatever reason, be sure to click to view the non-AMP version of the page at the bottom of the article.
Today we are closing out the second round with two competitive shows who both managed to emerge on the other side of an incredibly-competitive end to the first round. Both series are coming into this round with a great deal of momentum and with that, this is going to be a fun competition!
Now that we’ve set the stage, let’s get to breaking down these entries further. Voting for this round remains open until Saturday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Scorpion (#6 seed) – What a run the CBS series is having already! First, it managed to win big against the competition in the play-in portion of the tournament. Then, it also was able to topple Bull in the first round. While we’ve always felt like Team Scorpion had a devoted following behind it, they’ve come out in a way that has been very impressive! Scorpion was able to take down Bull, but the challenge today is finding a way to survive against a show in Timeless that has a legion of super fans so passionate that they were able to revive the show after its initial cancellation.
Timeless (#2 seed) – The fans won the show a second season on NBC, and then they have now won it a spot in the second round of our tournament. Even though the series itself is the ultimate underdog it actually is the favorite within this particular round of TV Madness. We expect a hard-fought, fun battle between two different shows that have enormous fan followings — with Timeless, this series is so appealing just because it celebrates the sense of adventure and allows viewers to imagine what their own journeys would be like if they were to travel in time.
