Queen of the South season 3, Shooter, Colony premiere dates revealed by USA

Want to know when Queen of the South, Shooter, and Colony are officially coming on the air? If so, CarterMatt comes bearing some pretty good news.

Let’s begin here with Colony, as the science fiction series is the one that is going to start the earliest of the three on Wednesday, May 2. That’s a little bit early for a summer series, and it’s a slightly surprising timeslot in some ways, but the intention here may be to pair it with Suits season 7 depending on if the finale ends up airing on this night. Personally, we think that it will be because USA is going to want to match up the finale date as closely as possible to Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry — we hardly think that this is a coincidence.

As for some other shows that are coming up for the network, the third season of Queen of the South is going to be premiering on Thursday, June 21 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern — this season should mark a great opportunity to see if Teresa can create a strong empire for herself independent of some of the problems and people that plagued her during season 2. This series has become somewhat of an under-the-radar hit for USA over time so we’re curious to see just what the network chooses to do with it next.  It’s smart to use this show as a lead-in for Shooter, premiering that same night at 10:00 pm. The goal first and foremost for this show is going to be wrapping up the story of season 2, which ended early after series star Ryan Phillippe suffered an injury away from the show. All three of these shows have ambition to last for a little while longer on the air and with that, we’re curious to see precisely how all of them end up performing.
