NCIS 350th episode air date, details on what’s coming

The fact that the NCIS 350th episode is coming up this season is certainly a remarkable achievement. This is not something that many other shows really get an opportunity to do and it’s worth noting that the CBS procedural has made it to this point. The episode entitled “Sight Unseen” is going to air on April 17, and early details suggest that this will be one of the more interesting installments of the season.

At the core of this episode is a mystery that could take sometime to unravel. Things begin with a Sheriff transporting a recently arrested Petty Officer, but then also an accident that causes the Sheriff to lose control of their vehicle while going after a drunk driver. The Sheriff ends up crashing the car into a lake — they are able to escape and swim up to safety.

However, here is the twist (per TVLine, who also supplied the photo below) — when NCIS arrives on the scene, they learn that the Petty Officer is missing and it looks as though they may have escaped. There are two siblings who were camping nearby at the time of the accident, and one of them in Annie (Marilee Talkington) ends up being an important witness — though she is also legally blind. Torres will work with her in order to get whatever valuable information that she has in an effort to resolve this case. Talkington is also legally blind, adding more authenticity to the character, which we really appreciate since one of our co-owners, (Matt Carter) is also legally blind.

Getting a 350th episode is not something that comes around often for many shows. There are not too many drama series that have done it — think Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Gunsmoke, or Dallas as examples. By the end of its run NCIS will easily top Dallas and could come close to some of the others. Signs at the moment suggest that a season 16 is virtually a lock and beyond that, it remains to be seen.
