NCIS season 15 episode 18 promo: Is Abby hiding in the morgue?
From a writing standpoint, we actually like what the team is doing in this episode very much since it seems like at the heart of this story is an evacuation at the office and the panic that causes as a result of it. The drama begins with the discovery of a body on the roof of the squad room, but it spirals far beyond that due in part to bomb materials that are also found up there. What we like about this story is that it takes a familiar location and transforms it. We’ve seen the squad room many times over, but rarely in the context in which you see it here. The team has to think in the moment and figure out not only how to save themselves, but also everyone else around them plus also the building that they love. That is a lot of different priorities to take on all at one time.
As for the video thumbnail below, the promo for this episode does (sort of) make it seem as though Abby is dead and on a slab in the morgue. Yet, we don’t actually think that s what’s going on here. Instead, it seems more like she is in there hiding almost as though it’s either keeping her safe from the bad guys or serving as a temporary bomb shelter. Either way, this is a good bit of evidence as to just how crazy some of the rest of this episode is going to end up becoming.
All in all, be prepared for an NCIS episode that is completely different than any other that you’ve seen to date.
