Big Brother Canada 6 live feed spoilers: Veto ceremony, feed downtime (day 17)

The Big Brother Canada 6 Veto Ceremony took place in the house on Monday, and just as you would imagine, the results of this were fairly dramatic — especially because of a speech.

Let’s start by laying out the facts: Hamza did not use the Power of Veto, which means that Jesse and Olivia remain on the block and one of them will end up leaving the game on Thursday. Where things get interesting is with Jesse publicly calling out Hamza for making swears on his fiancee Carolyn’s life — by the way, Carolyn has been mentioned in the house at this point that she could easily be confused as a part of this season. Jesse was angry because he felt like Hamza was using his person life for game. Meanwhile, Hamza was angry because Jesse made things personal … even if Hamza did kind of make things personal by bringing her into the game in the first place. We’re Team Hamza when it comes to entertainment, but Jesse does also have some points.

As of right now, it’s almost meaningless to get too much into the vote just because it keeps changing. There are people desperate to keep Jesse just as there are also people desperate to get rid of him. We think about it more this way than we do people being desperate to save Olivia, who isn’t really all that liked but also isn’t a huge threat to most people in the game.

Our ultimate hope over the next few days is that things just remain dramatic and whoever goes ends up being salty over at least a few of the votes — we’re here for the drama and this is the first time this season where there really is a little bit of drama. We do also totally understand why, given that whatever happens over the rest of the week is probably going to reverberate in a really big way for the remainder of the season. This is one of those votes that you can look back at as a turning point a month or so down the line.

Feed downtime

Unfortunately, feeds are going to be down until we get around to 6:00 a.m. Eastern time, presumably for Veronica’s party. This is of course a bummer since everyone’s probably going to get wasted … which is probably why it’s not being shown in turn on the feeds. Canada does have sponsors to think about and they can’t have things get too crazy.
