The Resident episode 9 preview: Meet Conrad’s ex-fiancee

The Resident episode 9 is airing next week on Fox, and based on the title alone in “Lost Love” it looks fair to say that romance — or at least a romance that was — is going to be at the heart of the story. Thanks in part to an appearance from Conrad’s former fiancee, he is going to have to reflect on what happened in his past. With that in mind, you are also going to have a chance to explore a side of the character that you really have not had too many opportunities to see before.

Below, The Resident episode 9 synopsis below offers up some other insight when it comes to the series:

Conrad’s ex-fiancé, Catherine (guest star Joanne Kelly), is admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain that proves to be quite the medical mystery. As Conrad doggedly tries to figure out her diagnosis and fights the idea of Bell performing her operation, Nic gets some insight into Conrad’s past. Meanwhile, Bell panics when Claire announces that she will be installing cameras in all operating rooms, Devon wracks his brain for the perfect birthday present for Priya and Lane realizes that Nic is suspicious about her clinic in the all-new “Lost Love” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, March 26 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In looking at some of the other stories for this episode, it’s pretty darn clear why Bell would start to panic over Claire’s announcement — this is basically an announcement that he is going to be found out when it comes to the tremor and his tendency to throw people other the bus. In between Bell’s issues in the operation room and Nic’s suspicions over Lane’s methods, we have here two separate stories that are very much going to last much of the rest of the season … or this is at least what we hope. We’ll have a better chance to see how this all plays out in the months to come.
