Timeless season 2 episode 3 preview: Meet Hedy Lamarr in ‘Hollywoodland’

Moving into Timeless season 2 episode 3 the objective of Rittenhouse is pretty clear: Travel through time and use some of their sleeper agents in order to ensure that their own version of history is reasonably secure. They have a lot of work to do in order to make that happening — meanwhile, the Time Team is going to be doing everything that they can in turn to stop them. Expect a trade-off and a back and forth like no other as Rufus, Wyatt, and Lucy do everything that they can to preserve history and keep it from being messed with.

At some point along the way, they are going to have to figure out how to track down Rittenhouse in the present and put a stop to what they’re up to — it is either that or continue to find ways to damage them in the past.

03/25/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Sunday) : When a Rittenhouse sleeper agent in 1941 Hollywood steals the only copy of Citizen Kane, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) team up with Hedy Lamarr (guest star Alyssa Sutherland) to get it back. Hedy Lamarr turns out to be not only a glamorous movie star but also a scientific wizard whose discoveries led to the invention of Wi-Fi. TV-PG D, S, V

Timeless season 2 episode 3 is going to be a valuable stepping stone towards us hopefully getting more answers regarding how to stop Rittenhouse — along the way, though, we’re going to get a chance to see a historical figure in Hedy Lamarr in a whole new light. While so other shows do negatively augment historical figures from the past and do little else, at least Timeless season 2 is making an effort to also celebrate some unsung heroes. When you think of Hedy Lamarr, more often than not you are not thinking so much about her contributions to science.
