Timeless season 2 episode 2 sneak peek: Wyatt fanboys over Wendell Scott

Timeless season 2 episode 2, entitled “The Darlington 500,” is airing on NBC this weekend. What could be coming up over the course of the episode? For starters, the Time Team is going to be traveling back to the 1950’s in order to continue their efforts to stop Rittenhouse and take down some sleeper agents located throughout history.

In the 1950’s, signs point towards there being someone working for Rittenhouse and with that, the Time Team is on the case! The sneak peeks below give you a sense as to how Rufus, Wyatt, and Lucy ultimately get there, and it begins with Lucy paying a visit to Garcia Flynn, where she eventually is able to get a little bit of information from him about where a sleeper agent could be within this era in South Carolina. Yet, he also makes it clear in the process that if they want to keep pumping information from him that it’s not all going to come for free. There will be a price on the exchange of information and that is something that they are going to have to deal with over time. (We’ll see if there is any more information that is needed from Flynn this season, but we cannot imagine that we’re going to continue seeing this character locked behind bars for the remainder of the season.)

The second sneak peek in chronology (it actually appears first in the video below) is Wyatt getting a chance to meet Wendell Scott, the first black NASCAR driver and a man who certainly had to overcome a lot in terms of prejudice and competition. Wyatt pretty much fanboys all over him in the preview, asking a ton of questions in his search for a person of interest in their investigation. Also, along the way we learn that Scott is a purveyor of moonshine and has plenty of it stored away in his car. (Lucy’s reaction to Wyatt taking a big bottle of moonshine from Wendell is probably the funniest moment of all in the clip.)

Remember that if you enjoy the show on NBC to watch it live! After all, this is probably the best way in which to ensure that the series sticks around on the air for a season 3. It may be early in the season but it’s never too soon to start the campaign.
