When should Doctor Who season 11 trailer be released?
For the time being, though, let’s start off with this: On paper, Comic-Con this summer is always going to be there and it is going to remain the most appealing spot in which to air the show with good reason. There’s a huge audience there and you can blast out the trailer to everyone else soon right after the fact. Doing it at Comic-Con is a way to expose the trailer to the largest populace of Whovians possible at one place and we imagine that for the cast and crew of the series there could be something truly magical that comes with seeing so many different people enjoying the trailer all at one time. It is the fruit of their labor, after all!
Yet, we also understand the reasoning against using Comic-Con to premiere the show — given that this is a seminal British series, why premiere the trailer outside of Britain? You could use one of the conventions there as a launching pad, our you could just choose to release the trailer this summer / early fall either after a big sporting event or an episode of a series. That may be a great way in which to get some viewers on your side who are not necessarily enormous fans of Doctor Who and could be recruited over to join the series.
Ultimately, we would be shocked if there isn’t some sort of trailer out there for Doctor Who season 11 this fall, especially if the plan is to release the full season at some point starting this fall.
