Who is Gabriel Maddox on How to Get Away with Murder season 4 finale?

Jimmy Smits

In the early moments of the How to Get Away with Murder season 4 finale it was clear that there was a character who had met their untimely end.

Yet, who was it? That was one of the big questions that the show was very interested in teasing for most of the hour. We thought it was Bonnie — yet, it turned out that it was Denver instead. His death was dramatic, but the crazy thing was that this wasn’t the only shocking thing that happened tonight.

One of the biggest shockers came courtesy of Michaela, who chose near the end of the episode to get Simon deported — it was one of the coldest moves that any one of Annalise’s students has ever made. She basically ensured that Simon would never cause her problems again, but how she did it was controversial to say the least.

Michaela had to deal with perceptions that she was evil as a result of that, but many of the other students were off celebrating — after all, Annalise ended up emerging victorious in the class-action lawsuit, effectively ensuring that things could change forever with the legal system. Another celebration came in Oliver asking Asher to be the best man at his wedding, which is hopefully something that is going to happen at some point during season 5. (Also, is Bonnie going to find love? CarterMatt is excited about that.)

Now, Gabriel Maddox

There were so many happy moments that we had a chance to see over the course of the finale that we had a feeling that there was going to be another shock. Well, we may have had that in the form of Gabriel Maddox. The show focused on him and it certainly seems like he has some sort of resemblance to Wes. Does Wes have a brother? Is this Annalise’s son? Is it Bonnie’s son? Whoever it is, they are enrolling seemingly in Middleton. Frank delivered a message that the “kid” was there in the closing minutes, and that seems to be the shocking cliffhanger at the moment leading into the new season.

Let the theories about Gabriel commence, but he is CLEARLY a big deal.
