Vikings star Alexander Ludwig honored with Canadian Screen Award
Yet, there is still some good news to talk about here in Vikings star Alexander Ludwig being recognized recently at the Canadian Screen Awards for his role as Bjorn. You can see a little more reaction from him in his post on Instagram below and one thing feels pretty clear: He is excited about the honor (and we are excited for him!). The only reason why Ludwig was not there in person to accept the award was because he is in the process of filming the sixth season of the show in Ireland. The cast and crew have been over there for most of the year, and before that they were taking a slight break for the holiday season.
Ludwig originally hails from Vancouver, so getting this honor is very special for him. Hopefully, this award can help open the door for some more awards/nominations for him other cast members at the Golden Globes or the Emmys. We’d like to see Ludwig getting some more recognition for his role of Bjorn, and we’ve absolutely felt like Katheryn Winnick has been snubbed many times for her role as Lagertha.
