Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 16: What’s next for Maggie, Jackson?

Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 16 next week carries with it the title of “Caught Somewhere in Time,” and with that this is going to be a story about advancement in various different ways. For Jackson, he will have a focus away from his new relationship with Maggie in order to focus on his incredibly-significant surgery that he is working on … with Catherine and Richard. Don’t you think that this is going to be complicated? Not only is Jackson working on one of the most important surgeries of his career, but he’s doing so with two people who could have very strong opinions about the relationship.

Maggie and Jackson are enjoying spending time together, but he must turn his concentration toward the groundbreaking vaginoplasty surgery he has scheduled with Catherine and Richard. Meanwhile, Meredith and Jo hit a roadblock with their contest submission, so Jo helps Bailey with an incoming trauma patient who used to be an astronaut.

This episode clearly has a number of interesting stories taking place over the course of it, and for Meredith the obvious question here is whether or not Ellis’ past is going to continue to impede some of her efforts in order complete her contest submission. (We also wonder if this contest is something that is going to last for the remainder of the season — that’s certainly a point of curiosity for us at the moment.)

One other thing to remember going into next week’s episode is that this episode is going to be followed immediately by Station 19, the firefighter spin-off that is airing right after. You’ve already met its female lead in Andy Herrera and you already know Ben Warren; when this episode airs, you’ll get a chance to learn a thing or two more about everyone else.
