Designated Survivor season 2 episode 14 preview: Kirkman, the Mayor team up

What’s coming up on Designated Survivor season 2 episode 14? This is a story that is entitled “In the Dark” and despite the somewhat-foreboding nature of that, could still be about cooperation and characters finding a way to get along. To be specific, we’re talking here about President Kirkman and also Mayor Ellenor Darby. Whatever story is coming up is going to be one that hits the City of Washington on a very granular level. We know that there are many issues that some of these characters take on that are of national significance. This one is a little more local, but also still very significant.

When a blackout threatens to shut down the government and causes chaos in the streets of Washington, D.C., President Kirkman joins forces with Mayor Ellenor Darby (Aunjanue Ellis), but the partnership doesn’t end there.

What does the latter part of that mean? It could be a number of different things, with the possibility of a greater alliance or personal friendship being pretty far up the list. We wonder if there could be something more than that here, but we’re not sure Kirkman is really ready for it. Even if he thinks that he is in the moment, that doesn’t mean that he will be when the dust settles. There are some other bumps in the road that could come after the fact — some of them could cause rifts that are a little bit more widespread in the end.
